What is Umrah?
Umrah Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage to Makkah that can be performed at any time of the year. Known as the "lesser pilgrimage," it involves entering the state of Ihram, performing Tawaf (circling the Kaaba 7 times), Sa'i (walking between Safa and Marwah), and Halq or Taqsir (shaving or trimming hair).
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "(The performance of) Umrah is an expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous one." (Bukhari & Muslim)

Entering Ihram at Miqat

Performing Tawaf around the Kaaba
Tawaf involves circling the Kaaba seven times in a counter-clockwise direction. The Mataf area can be extremely crowded, especially during peak seasons.

- •Choose late night or early Fajr time for the least crowded Tawaf experience

Sa'i Between Safa and Marwah
Sa'i requires walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah — a total distance of approximately 3.15 km inside the air-conditioned corridor.
